Leti, innovation
for industry
Movea, the global leader in motion-sensing applications in consumer, healthcare, mobile, and other markets, is commercializing innovative motion-capture solutions for a variety of market segments:
-pointing devices with the gyration air mouse portfolio launched in 2008
-joint assessment for physical therapists with a BioVal product developed through a collaboration with RM Ingenierie and based on Movea’s MotionPod
-applications that address health care concerns such as chronic diseases and cardiovascular risk
Movea also envisions new applications through partnerships with leading companies in consumer sports and entertainment.

In 2008, Movea achieved 2008 revenues of more than 7 million Euros.
In a common lab based on the 200mm platform, Leti and MicroOLED demonstrated revolutionary results including:
-a full TV-widescreen resolution on a very small area (25µm sub-pixel area, two-to-four times smaller than the current state of the art)
-very low power consumption (25mW, a four-fold improvement over the competition),
-excellent video-image quality
Mass production of this circuit is scheduled for late 2009. Typical applications are video glasses, viewfinders for cameras and DSCs, and applications in the field of augmented reality.

Other current projects in the framework of the common lab include:
-development of higher resolution microdisplays (HDTV resolution) with even smaller pixel pitch
-high-brightness versions for informative spectacles
-medical applications such as vision aids
